Caregivers

Our eldest son Sean was diagnosed with Leukaemia when he was 16. As you can imagine it was a difficult time for our whole family but most of all for Sean, being a teenager facing the biggest challenge of his life. He was a young man having to make decisions beyond his years and this needed to be recognized by the health professionals involved in his treatment.

We can only endorse the bill of rights for young adults with Cancer as they are no longer children and need to be treated with the respect and integrity necessary to allow them to fully cope with the journey they are on and the decisions that they have to make along the way.

These young adults deserve access to the latest information, treatment and support in keeping with their age group as they battle these silent killers.
